MECSPE 2026: the leading international trade fair for the manufacturing industry returns to Bologna

From 4 to 6 March 2026, BolognaFiere will host the 24th edition of MECSPE, Italy’s premier exhibition dedicated to production technologies and supply solutions for mechanical engineering, special mechanics, automation, and the processing of metals and plastics. The event reaffirms its role as a strategic platform for industrial innovation, offering a comprehensive overview of the technologies and expertise driving the transformation of the European manufacturing sector.

The 2026 edition is built around three strategic pillars: training, digitalisation in the framework of Industry 5.0, and sustainability. These themes, now more central than ever for the manufacturing world, represent not only essential levers of competitiveness but also long-term drivers of growth and development. The focus on skills enhancement, system integration and energy efficiency will shape an exhibition and conference programme designed to support companies as they transition towards new production models.

The 2025 edition recorded impressive results, with more than two thousand exhibiting companies, over sixty-six thousand professional visitors, ninety-two thousand square metres of exhibition space, two thousand square metres dedicated to the MECSPE Lab innovation area, and a total of one hundred and twenty conferences and special initiatives. These figures confirm the central role of MECSPE within the European industrial landscape and set the stage for an even more content-rich and opportunity-driven edition in 2026.
