Automating every stage of food packaging with Tecno Pack
Through its network of companies, Tecno Pack Group can handle virtually any food product: from the production line to despatch, automating every stage of the packaging process through to logistics. Whatever their size, food industry operators find in Tecno Pack the answer to their needs, thanks to a broad portfolio of packaging machines from which they can select the solution best suited to their products.
Tailor‑made solutions for food and beyond
Tecno Pack positions itself as a benchmark for companies seeking customised solutions delivered by a reliable long-term partner, capable of responding to customer needs through attentive listening and technical expertise, for the development of bespoke solutions covering sweet and savoury baked goods, cheeses, snacks and bars, fish and meat, beverages, as well as medical devices and cosmetic products.
International reach
International expansion has long been a strategic imperative for Tecno Pack, driven both by the opening of new markets and by opportunities linked to production relocation. Along its path of improvement and growth, Tecno Pack has achieved significant expansion, the result of a strengthened corporate structure built through an acquisition programme.
Key objectives include optimising the use of corporate resources and gaining increasing competitive weight within the food market.
Working in synergy with Tecno Pack, which specialises in horizontal flow‑pack and vertical pillow pack machines, tray erectors, wrap‑around case packers, automatic feeding systems, and complete lines for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, are several subsidiaries now operating under a unified Group.
Skilled Group-Euroimpianti, with a focus on conveying systems and automatic palletisers; IFP Packaging, which handles machines and systems for heat-shrink film, shrink tunnels and shrink wrappers; and GSP, specialising in horizontal flow wrapper machines and medium-output lines.
Horizontal packaging: FP 100E
Among the latest products, the FP 100E series, a technological flagship that Tecno Pack brings to the most demanding food industry applications. This series of high-speed horizontal packaging machines reflects decades of technological evolution and experience gained with leading global players. It represents the most advanced expression of the horizontal flow wrapper machine: fully electronic, with a cantilevered structure that ensures complete sanitation.
The film unwinding calender is motorised, as is the side-sealing unit, which features two independent motors. The transverse sealing units fitted to the FP 100E are available in both long-dwell format with fast changeover system, and high-speed box motion. The box-motion unit represents the fastest prolonged sealing system of this type currently available. With its square, high-speed motion, it combines the operational speeds typical of long-dwell cut-seal machines with the versatility of the translating cut-seal machines, known as box motion. The machine, conceived for integration into automatic lines, boasts a range of distinctive features: ultimate operational precision; mechanical and electronic stability; high speed for prolonged sealing dwell time; controlled atmosphere; micrometric dosing of liquids such as alcohol and anti-mould agents; integration into print systems, upstream and downstream interaction with any integrated system; and ease of use via a large touchscreen interface.
Vertical packaging and end-of-line: FV 210
For the packaging of products in bags, Tecno Pack also offers an extensive range of vertical packaging machines.
Among these is the FV 210 in its five-axis electronic left-hand version. The construction is in stainless steel in anticorrosive painted epoxy powder coated finish (RAL 9007), whilst the vertical panel on which all the machine's functional components are mounted is in anodised aluminium. All functional units are cantilevered, ensuring perfect sanitation and preventing the accumulation of any product residues within the machine structure. AISI 304 stainless steel is the material of choice for all product-contact parts. The efficiency of the FV 210 is assured by a powerful drive system comprising two 400 W brushless motors for film feed management, a 1 kW motor for the transverse sealing unit, a 1.5 kW motor for film unwinding and a 400 W motor for vertical seal management.
Palletising and handling
Palletising is today another area of excellence for Tecno Pack, thanks to the acquisition of Skilled-Euroimpianti, a company that designs and manufactures palletising and pallet handling systems for all the main types of packaged products, as well as automated and laser guided vehicles.
Among its most recent installations, a notable example is the palletising cell with integrated stretch wrapper. Extremely compact, it was engineered to meet the needs of a customer requiring a system capable of handling unstable white-flour sacks within a very tight footprint. The solution made it possible to integrate a wrapper into the palletising cell, enabling step‑by‑step pallet wrapping: as the robot proceeds with palletisation, the wrapper applies film to the bags layer by layer.
Privately owned, yet organised on an international scale and equipped with cutting-edge technology, the Tecno Pack Group is a company capable of delivering the best packaging solutions across all industrial sectors,
says Andrea Motta, Sales Manager.
