Sabert launches PULP Ultra®, a new benchmark in sustainable food packaging

Sabert Corporation Europe announces the launch of PULP Ultra®, a next-generation food packaging solution that combines high performance with advanced sustainability, now available across Europe, the UK and Ireland.

PULP Ultra® is a formulation with no intentionally added PFAS, specifically developed to meet emerging European regulations and growing market demands in terms of strength and reliability. Made with over 95% bagasse fibers and a light barrier coating (<5%), it delivers excellent resistance to oil and grease, even in direct contact with hot food, outperforming many existing alternatives.

Thanks to its technical properties, PULP Ultra® is ideal for fresh meals, ready-to-eat applications and hot food, ensuring product integrity and freshness, including in freezing conditions. The material is compatible with microwave ovens, conventional ovens and MerryChef applications, and can be used with PET sealing or multi-seal solutions.

From a sustainability perspective, PULP Ultra® is recyclable (rated “green” under the UK Recycling Assessment Methodology), compliant with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and certified TÜV OK Compost Industrial.

PULP Ultra® has already been awarded the Green Apple Awards Silver in the Paper & Packaging category, a recognition from The Green Organisation for innovation and effectiveness in addressing evolving European regulatory requirements.
